Filming - Day four

Day four of our filming was completely different to the filming which we had done before. We decided at this point that we were going to change our music video completely as we thought that we really needed a peformer. My friend Ruksana who is quite confident and does performing arts had agreed the night before that she would come into college early to help us film, we arranged this through speaking on the phone and she reassured me that she would love to help out. Me Jade and Michael all met up at the recording studio at nine oclock and we had booked in to use the studio a few days before. Ruksana had brought her boyfriend along called Raees which we thought was great as Raees was also quite confident and said that he didn't mind performing in the video.

At this point we chose our song "It Girl". We chose this because it was a song that we all liked and new very well, it was also a song which Ruksana and Raees new the lyrics to which made it much easier. Raees was our main performer and we used the cameras and the editing in the studio to make him in the spotlight. We recorded him from different angles using the different cameras and used the equipment to fade them together. We got a few long shots, some medium long shots and some close ups. We also filmed him sat on a red sofa as we thought it would look like a great prop.

Even though the song is sang by a a boy (Jason Derulo) we thought that as it was a typical love song we filmed a lot in the studio which included Ruksana. We filmed her dancing in her casual clothing and also singing. We also filmed her looked sat on the sofa. As well as this we thought it would be good if we filmed them sat together messing around on the sofa with the cushions, and also filmed them dancing and singing to each other, we thought this looked really created and moved around the camera and the lighting. We also used the lighting to create them both in shadow and make it so you could only see the outline of their bodies. We thought this looked really effective. We were really pleased as the filming went really well and everything was starting to come together perfectly.
