We thought very hard about the lighting, props and effects which we should include within the video. We decided that we wanted to play around with the lighing in the studio and used spotlights to make the characters stand out on the black background, we were very pleased with this as it looks really effective however we thought that the shaddows which were created in the background ruined it a little, we played around with the camera some more but this couldn't be helped so we decided to make it look like part of the video and work round it in the best possible way. We also used the spotlights in the studio to create Jason himself very bright and make the girl in the video in shaddow, we were pleased that we had the opportunity to be able to create this so perfectly and as a ground we were pleased with the outcome. When filming outside we thought that the natural lighting worked really well with the natural setting so we decided not to change it as we thought it would spoil it if we did so.
When thinking about props we thought about using a red rose as red symbolises love and is typical for a love story, we also wanted ruksana to use an umbrealla, when it came to the day of filming it wasn't raining and we thought that using an umberella would look a bit stupid. Instead we thought of using a prop which is completely different, this is a phone. We included a part where Raees was texting Ruksana and she recieves in when she is in the studio, through different locations, we were pleased with this as we also used a typical modern phone a "Blackberry" which is popular for youngsters of there age. After thinking we thought that the rose was too boring and simple, instead we thought we would be more creative and symbolise love through the use of a red sofa in the studio, we can also see them laughing and joking playing around on the sofa which leaves people thinking deep into the meaning, whereas we know what the rose symbolises straight away.
