Ideas for the music video

Roles within the group

Within the entire group, we all play to different strengths and skills deciding to use our skills to make a successful music video. For the production work, we discussed who is going to be in the music video and also who will be doing the filming. We decided that the whole of the group would contribute to posting on the blog and we have already discussed what roles we would like to play when designing the CD concluding on the roles closer to the time.

Ideas

Our first ideas were to create an illustrative music video to visualize the lyrics and music. We decided on using a song by a female singer. We hope to create a romantic, autumn feel with our music video.

Blogs

For our blog, we will attempt to show each and every step for the creation of the music video, to discussing our ideas for the videos, giving background information on various artists and then showing the creation of the music video.

Editing

We considered using a black and white filter for the video believing this would create a more amateur and personal feel. Also, we decided it would be best to use many shots and cut to the beat of the music.

Costumes

We looked at various music videos and came to the conclusion that the winter/autumn clothing would look best on the group members participating in the filming of the video. We decided that knitted cardigans and scarfs would give our music video a warm, light-hearted feel and floral designed clothing reflecting on fashion at the moment.
