We thought about filming at first in Chorlton park as we thought that it would be a really good setting for a love story. We thought about it and we decided not to go there because the park was quite for for everyone in the group to get to and also getting back to college. We decided to do more research on location for parks and we decided to film in Alexandra park as it is quite near to college and is also a lovely park which would look good on camera. It is also quite easy for everyone to get to.
Nexus Art Cafe
We also did some research about food places we could go town which was in Manchester city centre. We thought about using nexus art cafe as it is looks quite qwirky and is full of wonderful artwork. After researching more into it we decided not to use it. We thought that the style of cafe did not fit in with the style of the song as we thought that it would look better if it was used for songs like Kate Nash - Foundations as it has a great link to the way Kate Nash is. We didnt think it was typical of a love story R&B video which is the image we wanted to create.
Inside a home or apartment
We also thought about filming inside one of our houses to try to make it quite realistic. At first we thought it was a really good idea as a home is somewhere where a couple can feel most comfortable with them selves. We decided not use this idea as we thought it would lool quite cramped as two of us live in very small houses and one of us lives in a flat. It would have been also been quite hard for everyone to travel there because of travel costs etc. We didnt use the apartment idea as we looked on the internet at prices for hiring for a day and it was really expensive. We also rang up a few hotels in Manchester and they wouldn't let us film in the rooms for a few hours for free.
