Filming - Day one

On the first day of filming we planned to film in the Ellis and Kennedy theatre. We had planned before hand the lesson before as a group what shots we were going to do. We decided that we wanted this part as the opening for our music video. We went in the studio and at first someone was in there testing the lights but they let us use the studio drama studio for about an hour. Whilst we were in there we arranged where we were putting the chair and the piano and what shots we were going to take. We also thought that the chair looked quite boring and we wanted to give it quite a quirky, vintage look. I went to down to the textiles department and asked them if they would be kind as to let us borrow some brown fabric which they did, I took this fabric back to the studio and re arranged it on the chair.

We continuted to film Jade playing the piano and singing, we had printed the song lyrics off for her before hand so that we could be more organised and didn't get mixed up with the lyrics. We took some high angle shots where we stood on the table to try to get it as low as possible. We also took some extreme close ups of her lips moving and also her hands playing on the keys. Jade got quite embarressed when we were filming her as she is quite shy so we took this into account and did some shots with the camera while we walked away so that she didnt feel under pressure with us and the camera there.

After this we went back to class and uploaded the clips on to the computer to see what we thought of them and each had group opinions. We decided as a group that we didnt like all the shots we took as we thought the setting looked quite boring so we decided that next time we would make it look better.
